The Body–Voice–Presence weekend is a chance to work more deeply — not just on one aspect, but on how voice, movement, and presence begin to connect.
What makes it unique is the combination of teachers:
Faculty
⸻
Janine Pearson (voice)
Janine Pearson is Director of the Birmingham Conservatory at the Stratford Festival, where she leads advanced professional actor training. She spent over two decades as Head of Voice and Coaching at the Festival and continues to work as a voice and text coach, supporting actors in developing a free, responsive, and expressive vocal presence.
Brad Cook (movement)
Brad Cook is a movement coach with the Stratford Festival and has supported the acting company for ten seasons in both rehearsal and training. His work focuses on physical awareness, clarity, and expanding expressive range — helping performers connect the body to impulse and move with greater freedom.
John Beale (clown / presence)
I’ll be leading the clown / presence work — focusing on play, risk, and the alchemy of failure.
Together, this creates a space where these elements can meet and inform each other — not as separate disciplines, but as one integrated practice.
